Eagle Middle School Reviews

The SRO is not at all helpful with student problems and she is always looking for the big bust, and not for the security, safety, and justice our children should be getting from a school resource officer. The teachers are wonderful though! So is the administration.

EMS is a GREAT school. When i attended there, many kids that moved in were accepted right away. Teachers kept school work interesting and were very helpful. The sports programs were basically the BEST. Football won for both lightweight and heavyweight. Volleyball and basketball did really good too. The schools competition cheer team won in their competition. Besides the athletics, the school often shook things up a bit with fundraisers. Teachers were very encouraging. The school also gave us the oppertunity for great assemblies that ranged from fun to inspiring. As far as other people's disappointments with parents involvments, middle school is a point where kids learn to branch out. Not to mention kids are pretty easily imbarassed my parents. The school also made the transition from elementary school alot easier. All in all EMS was a great experience. GO COLTS!

I am extremely dissapointed. I believe some of the teachers don't care about the students. What happened to the teachers and text books teaching them. What happened to teaching for the purpose of learning and not teaching for the state testing. I have attended almost every PTSO meeting and it was the same parents (10) that came. Where are the rest of the parents? And then there's the drug problem. Was there anything I liked about this school - well the girls in the office were extremely nice, one of my sons teachers was the best and she's not returning next year, nor is the principal. My son will be moving on to Galileo, thank goodness.

EMS is an awesome school the academic programs cover everything we need to know we have extracurriculars ranging from advanced drama to explorations in mathematics the parents are also very involved most parents showup to the confrences and there is always plenty of chaperones for field trips. To be blunt Eagle Middle School is the best school in Idaho. PS its also very easy to make friends and very few kids are teased

I am currently a student @ EMS, and I love it so much. We respect our teachers, and our principal, who is doing the best job that could be done in keeping our school running. We are involved in music, we have a band, orchestra, and choir that works on the best music, and skills. I love my school, and would never think about going to a new one until I have to. Consider this when you think of enrolling your child in a middle school. Choose Eagle Middle School! -Kathryn, 7th grader

I moved from another state to idaho. I was very disappointed with eagle middle school. This school is in desperate need of help and I believe it begins with the principal. There is such a lack of enthusiasum and respect towards the students.Every time I had a question or concern I was told they didn't know. If the school focused more on acedemics and less on sports it could improve. As far as parent involvement, I think a school as large as this should have more activities where the kids can interact with each other, where are the book fairs, science nights, etc. This school has the potential to be raising more money other than the monster mash. This school needs change and I believe it starts with the principal.

I LOVED Eagle Middle School. The transition from Elementary school to Middle School was easy. I didn't meet anyone who had trouble with it. They give you two main teachers and you only have to switch hallways once or twice. The counselor is always there for you and there are many extracurricular activities for students to participate in. Teachers are always there for you and want you to succeed and will help you to. There is a problem with swearing and disrespect, as there is in every school, but there is also the highly effective Step Program in place to keep it in check. GO EAGLE COLTS! (the mascot and colors could definitly use a change though)

This school needs improvement. They have not yet figured out the transition for their 6th graders coming from elementary to junior high.
