BEST BREAKFAST IN TREASURE VALLEY

Boise/Garden City

Bacon

Bacon and Bloody Marys. My favorite is the Grit Bowl

Goldie’s

If you haven’t eaten at this Downtown Boise staple, do you even live here? It’s tiny, expect a wait. Check out the local art while you’re there.

Richard’s Restaurant and Bar

A more formal brunch, also available for room service at Inn at 500. Their granola is weirdly delicious.

Riverside Hotel

For a hotel breakfast buffet, this one nails it. Love the omelet bar and the live music.

The Chef’s Hut

Totally hidden in a industrial area of Boise, The Chef’s Hut hasn’t changed in years and I am so glad. Get a meal for under $10 and don’t miss the smiley face pancakes.

Western Proper

I mean. This place is just so sexy. And the menu matches. Stay to bowl and chill at the arcade. Great downtown Boise patio.

Big City Coffee

Best place in Boise to get a gynmorous baked good and fantastic coffee. Stay to shop at one of the most unique gift shops around.

A Café

Central downtown Boise cafe, perfect for a quick bite and coffee. I get a Breve and Errrything Avocado Toast

Sunshine Spice Cafe

Looking for a truly unique experience, this James Beard nominee is definitely that! I like the saffron pudding and basically every baked good they offer.

Meridian

Eight Thirty Common

Gastro Pub does brunch in Downtown Meridian. My pick for benedicts and the Ricotta Blueberry Pancake Stack can feed 5. Tons of lunch brunch options.

Jo Momma’s Restaurant

A staple for large portions of classic breakfasts. Just down from the village in Meridian on Eagle.

Express Café

The most unassuming location ever, grab your trucker hat and get there in time for their fresh cake donuts. Love the tater tot sticks and the single pancake you can share with the entire table.

Broken Yolk

California classic comes to Meridian. They get busy, call ahead. I love the omelets.

Biscuits and Hogs

Manly brunch with a side of FREEDOM! 😉 This is brunch in your face and mimosas in yard flamingos. HUGE portions and good drinks.

Eagle

Rembrants

One of the most charming coffee and breakfast spots in town. Great for cinnamon rolls and a simple avocado toast.

Nampa

The Tower Grill

You wouldn’t think a restaurant at a small local airport would be good. But this cult favorite continues to provide home cooking at a whole other level. Expect a wait on the weekend. It’s a tiny spot. Love the A-10 Warthog Burrito

Kuna

The Pork Belly

Pulled pork sando and great coffee.

Star

Star Country Cafe

This is still on my list for places to try, but every one says it’s worth a drive to Star. Will update once I try it!

Several locations

Blue Bench Brunchette - Boise Bench

Huck House Brunchette - Garden City

Brunchettes On the Lake - McCall

Sister restaurants with a side of Instagramable brunches. Get the mimosa trees and my favorite for sweet options.

Waffle Love

Waffles and all the toppings, and the nicest owners around. In Meridian and at Warehouse Food Hall in Boise.

Original Sunrise Café - Meridian, Boise, Middleton

One of the most iconic breakfast joints throughout the Treasure Valley. This is just good classic breakfasts with huge portions.

Lucky Fins - Boise and Meridian

Super fun and unexpected takes on brunch items with lots of seafood offerings. Lobster Oscar Benedict, Togarashi Torched Salmon Benedict and Grand Marnier French Toast are my favs. Boise location right off 8th Street with a view of Grove Plaza.
