Stained Glass Web Workshop
SATURDAY, October 10th 10:30AM Details: 11x8 inch web with came border This class is for the glass enthusiast who wants to do it all....in one day!
Over the course of the workshop, students will create their very own seasonal spider web in a gorgeous variety of stained glass sheets. Work out the basics of cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering with the added steps of applying a zinc came border and (optional) black patina to really make the piece look professional and polished. A lunch break will be included. Please bring your lunch or plan to visit one of our neighboring restaurants.
What we provide: We lend you all the tools needed to complete your project, beautiful and easy-to-cut glass, safety gear and instruction to make your stained glass piece. Participants will be taught how to score and break glass, grind using a stained glass grinder, foil individual pieces and solder them together. An instructional sheet is provided, as well as advice on purchasing your own supplies.
NOTE: Cutting glass requires participants to exert a bit of pressure and force as you press down on the glass. Foiling and soldering require hand dexterity as well. Please contact if you have any questions about the physical requirements of the class. Chairs are provided for breaks but standing during cutting is recommended.
What to bring and wear: Participants are required to wear close-toe shoes and pants. You may bring water but we will avoid eating food in the work areas. You can store your belongings in a glass-free area. Who can participate: Anyone over 18! This is a great way to dip your toes and learn a little bit about stained glass, which will hopefully allow you to take a more advanced class in the future or start out on your own. This class is great for individuals, couples, groups, birthday or holiday gifts. Price is per person. All guests must sign a waiver before taking the class. The waiver will be sent by email.

Under the Same Sky: 23rd Annual Change Your World Gala

As we celebrate 30 years of the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, we also look to the promise of the future. To lift our gaze beyond what is toward what could be. To imagine a world where connection, dignity, and justice are not distant ideals, but daily realities. Under the same sky, we’ll celebrate the power of possibility and the impact we can make when we choose to reach for it together. Join us for an evening of inspiration and impact as we raise critical funds for the work for the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights!
