My Places Community Event
My places offers fun, safe and inclusive community events for all ages and abilities.
Enjoy unlimited arcade play, pizza, and soda refills at Chuck-E-Cheese! For just $10 per person, participants receive two slices of pizza, a soda with unlimited refills, and unlimited arcade play from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Support persons can RSVP and pay or attend for free and purchase their own food. Play cards store tickets for prizes and can be reloaded each month. Upcoming Dates: March 31, April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 29, and October 27. RSVP required.

Construction Combine
The Construction Combine is a two-day event that brings together educational institutions, local construction contractors, and community members to build a stronger construction labor force. Students gain hands-on experience, learn new skills, and explore career opportunities in the trades, while contractors provide expert training and mentorship.
Day 1 – Trades Day: Students rotate through interactive booths showcasing various construction trades, demonstrating their skills and learning new techniques. This day also offers a valuable opportunity for students and contractors to connect and discuss potential employment.
Day 2 – Build Day: Students collaborate with local contractors to construct sheds, which are then donated to local veterans. Additionally, participants have the chance to take part in mock or formal interviews with area contractors, gaining real-world job application experience.
The Construction Combine is an impactful event that strengthens the building industry while inspiring and preparing the next generation of skilled workers.

The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights Free Paint Night
In honor of Idaho Gives, Boise community members are invited to grab a brush and join the Wassmuth Center to create a sign or poster that visually represents the welcoming spirit of the community. This event is open to all ages! Poster board, cardboard, markers, and paint supplies will be provided at no cost, but donations are welcomed as the center kicks off its 2025 fundraiser.

Shriners Free Health Screening Clinic for Kids
The El Korah Shriners are hosting their annual free screening clinic to identify children with specialty pediatric conditions including orthopedics, burns, spine and spinal cord issues, scoliosis, craniofacial abnormalities and more.
The free screening clinic will be from 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, May 3rd at the Boys and Girls Club in Meridian, 911 N Meridian Rd. The Club is located on the north side of Pine Ave on Meridian Road. No appointments are necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. Screenings by volunteer licensed medical providers will take approximately 30 minutes.

Dennis the Cat Day at the Old Pen
The Old Idaho Penitentiary hosts its fourth annual Dennis the Cat Day, celebrating the beloved feline mascot who lived at the prison from 1952 to 1968. Rattlesnake, Porcupine & Skunk Avoidance Training for Dogs
The Idaho Chukar Foundation is hosting its annual safety event, offering personalized 1:1 avoidance training for dogs and their owners. Held at the Agriculture Pavilion in Boise’s Julia Davis Park on Saturday, May 31, and Saturday, June 7, from 9 AM to 2 PM, this training helps dogs learn to recognize and avoid the sight, smell, and sound of rattlesnakes, skunks, and porcupines—common hazards in Idaho and the surrounding region. Sessions are scheduled individually to ensure personalized instruction.

The Idaho Chukar Foundation is hosting its annual safety event, offering personalized 1:1 avoidance training for dogs and their owners. Held at the Agriculture Pavilion in Boise’s Julia Davis Park on Saturday, May 31, and Saturday, June 7, from 9 AM to 2 PM, this training helps dogs learn to recognize and avoid the sight, smell, and sound of rattlesnakes, skunks, and porcupines—common hazards in Idaho and the surrounding region. Sessions are scheduled individually to ensure personalized instruction.

35TH ANNUAL PAYETTE LAKES FINE ART & CRAFT FAIR
Celebrate our 35th Anniversary with us! The Payette Lakes Fine Art & Craft Fair has been bringing unique local and national artists to the City of McCall, Idaho for over 30 years. This outdoor, juried, Fine Arts event presents an opportunity to talk with and purchase art directly from the Artist, experience live music, and enjoy a variety of food vendors under a shaded picnic area. Stroll through the fair and discover unique gifts. You will find log furniture, oil painting, metalwork, stained glass, pottery, fiber arts, inlay, and many other treasures. We pride ourselves on the vendors, featuring over 75 artists from across the country who produce every piece for sale. The festival takes place August 16th from 9-5 and 117th from 10-4 at Gold Glove Park in McCall, next to the golf course on Davis Creek. This family event is Free to the public since 1990, with parking available on site.
