CITY OF MERIDIAN'S TRASH OR TREASURE
Trash or Treasure is an annual community event that provides residents with the opportunity to set out clean, gently used, no longer wanted household items at their curb. Fellow residents (Treasure Hunters) can use an online interactive Treasure Map to locate these items, giving them a new life and diverting them from the landfill. It's like treasure hunting, but free!
This two-day event kicks off on the morning of Saturday, May 4, and lasts until the evening of Sunday, May 5.

REVIVE FASHION SHOW
Local designers and creatives of all ages and abilities, have come together at JUMP to create wearable art and fashion using thrifted and recycled items for JUMP's Revive Fashion Show. Designers were generously provided access to the Idaho Youth Ranch to collect materials and “Revive” them into new, fashion items- turning them into works of art. The public is invited to the free fashion show highlighting sustainability, and how we can make more conscious choices to be kinder to our planet.

Beautiful music from around the globe is featured in the final concert of the regular season, aptly titled “Here, There, Everywhere.” Selections include Respighi's famous tone poem, “The Pines of Rome,” the “Emperor Waltz,” composed as a symbolic toast of friendship from Austria-Hungary to the German Empire, and Gould’s lively Latin American Symphonette, based on the dance rhythms of rhumba, tango, guaracha and conga. Our Junior Division Young Artists Competition winner, Mia Huang, will also perform with the Symphony.

21ST ANNUAL INDIAN CREEK FESTIVAL

On Friday night the plaza features live music, also known as Oldies on the Plaza but the most anticipated event is the cardboard kayak race where teams compete to see who can build the fastest, watertight kayak out of just cardboard and duct tape.
