Treats by Tay
Back in 2018 I found a local baker who did the most beautiful cakes and I ordered one. She had a small Instagram page of about 500 followers and I thought I lucked out discovering this new local gem. Flash forward to the next year when I decided to order another cake and I found her page with over 100,000 followers and national coverage. π That escalated quickly! Taylor of @treatsbytay is an incredible talent and I think we should all get to know her betterβ

βHii! My name is Taylor Durand, and I am the owner of Treats by Tay.
I have always derived great pleasure from spending time in the kitchen and creating delightful treats for others. I founded Treats by Tay in 2013 during our time stationed in Kansas, and it continued to expand as we relocated to Hawaii in 2015. After my son was born in Idaho in 2017, I said goodbye to my full-time employment and transitioned into the role of a stay-at-home mom, dedicating my time to baking on the side.
Treats by Tay started to really grow in 2019, after welcoming my babygirl to the world. This pivotal moment prompted me to begin creating tutorials while wearing her, which went viral overnight! Since then, I have dedicated a large chunk of my time to the kitchen, and raising my two children.
In addition to my custom orders, I have expanded my offerings to include cake classes, tutorials on various social media platforms, and custom baking services for special occasions. Notably, in 2022, I was honored to be featured on the Today show during the Great American Holiday Cookie Swap, representing Idaho as a baker. This past May the Meridian Lifestyle Magazine did a piece on my kiddos and I!
I absolutely love baking for my fellow Idaho peeps and sharing my sweets.β
