SAVE THIS FOR YOUR NEXT WEEKEND TRIP!

After more than a decade of showing people Idaho, I really think it’s time the rest of the country understood just how good the Treasure Valley is for a vacation. And my favorite kind of trip? An elevated girls weekend.

@travelingspud and I curated two days. One in downtown Boise, one in Sunnyslope wine country.

We started with lunch at @ansotsboise, one of the best introductions to the city. Boise’s Basque roots are still woven through downtown, and you feel it here. Croquetas, house-cured meats, Spanish wine.

Then we checked into @theaveryhotelboise so we could stay right in the middle of everything. Historic building, rooms done right, deep tubs, and a restaurant downstairs you’d book even if you weren’t staying there. And of course we had dinner there that night. French-leaning, strong cocktails, and the kind of atmosphere made for long dinners.

From there, you just walk. Freak Alley, local shops, stopping for a drink when you feel like it. Boise is clean, easy, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time in.

The next morning, brunch at @stardustboise. Mid-century feel, full bar, and a menu that goes well beyond standard breakfast.

Then @snakeriverwinetours picks you up right in front of your hotel and takes you out to Sunnyslope for the day. Luxury vans, small groups, and a team that knows how to run a day well.

Within about 40 minutes, you’re in rolling hills and vineyards that feel closer to European wine country than anything people associate with Idaho.

@koenigvineyards, @scoriavineyards @gem73winery, @devilsbedstead Sitting outside, taking your time, moving slowly from one stop to the next.

End the night at @amano_caldwell . James Beard Award-winning, layered flavors, and dishes you’ll remember long after the trip is over.

The next day, after checking out, we walked to @bittercreekalehouse. Patio table on 8th Street and food sourced from Idaho farms, dairies, and bakeries.

This is our version of the ultimate elevated girls weekend.
